We only collect data necessary for our website’s functionality, however, we may also utilize various reporting services, which may use your data as well.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why

We collect information about you during the registration, enrollment, and checkout processes on our site.

When you register an account with us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  1. Send you information about your account, orders, courses, and memberships
  2. Communicate with you about courses and memberships that you’re enrolled in
  3. Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  4. Process payments and prevent fraud
  5. Set up your account for our site
  6. Comply with any legal obligations we have
  7. Improve our site’s offerings

When you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the enrollment and checkout for future purchases and enrollments.

All personal data stored is hashed and salted, preventing the decryption of this information in case of any data breach.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We use cookies on group, member, and activity directories to keep track of a user’s browsing preferences. These preferences include the last-selected values of the sort and filter dropdowns, as well as pagination information. These cookies contain no personal data, and are deleted after 24 hours.

We do not sell or store persistent cookies on our platform. At any time, a user can clear their own cookies and all cookie information is removed either periodically or on account deletion.

Analytics

Contact Forms

When you use our forms, we may collect certain personal information that you voluntarily provide to us. This information may include:

Who We May Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Site Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing information (no card information is stored as all payments are processed through Stripe).

Course and membership instructors can access your course progress and activities including:

  • Enrollment dates for their courses and memberships
  • Course progress and status information for their courses
  • Quiz and assignments answers and grades for their courses
  • Comments and reviews made on their memberships and courses

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds, and support you.

Stripe Payment Protection

We accept payments through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

For recurring payments, we do not hold billing information ourselves and use Stripe to process payments and save billing information. You may disable the card saving ability via Stripe.

Public Activity

The content of activity items obey the same privacy rules as the contexts in which the activity items are created. For example, activity updates created in a user’s profile are publicly visible, while activity items generated in a private group are visible only to members of that group. Site administrators can view all activity items, regardless of context.

Activity items may be deleted at any time by users who created them. Site administrators can edit all activity items. If you would need assistance removing publicly visible items from your account, please contact us any time at support@dealers.school.

All public activity must also comply with local law, and we have the right to remove any activity we deem inappropriate at any time.

How Long We Retain Your Data

We may retain personal information, including user account information, course data, and related records, for backup and archival purposes. These backups may be retained for a reasonable period and securely deleted once they are no longer required. This may include fulfilling our obligations regarding record-keeping, reporting, auditing, or responding to legal requests, such as subpoenas or court orders.

How We Protect Your Data

What Third Parties We Receive Data From

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Some data may be sent to third parties, such as billing information to Stripe and IP information to Google Analytics.

We ensure that any sensitive information delivered follows data protection and regulation rules by only connecting with parties that support these privacy regulations.

We do not store any data outside of this platform as we are privately hosted on a single server without a CDN.

We employ a CDS (content delivery service/server) to deliver video content which only uses basic browser information (such as browser type and IP address, both non-sensitive and public information).

The third parties we may employ information to include:

Yoast SEO, Jetpack, LifterLMS, WPForms, and Google Analytics.

For European users, any information sent to outside parties follows GDPR requirements.
